2 ohm, or 4 ohm

I am gonna get 2 12'' Type R's soon, and was wondering if I should get the 2 ohm model, or the 4 ohm model. I MIGHT get a different amp, maybe this one here:

Going to depend on the amp you end up with. 1 ohm stable = 2 4ohm dvc / 2 ohm stable = 2 2ohm dvc.

higher impedences means better efficiency/less strain on the amp. just a lil fyi.

Honestly . . . choose amp #3. I don't think either one of those will power the R's well.

If you're only going to be dealing with these two amps, the dual voice coil 4 ohm speakers are gonna be best for you.

well, my budget isn't the biggest, so I can't really spend much on an amazing amp.

Get the Dual 4 Ohm subs so that together they can be wired to a final resistance of 4 Ohms like in this diagram:

Then get this amp since you've stated your on a tight budget. Under $180/shipped, will give your subs more power (when run in 1ch. mono bridged mode) than either the amp you have or the other one you suggested, and the eBay seller I linked to is trustworthy.

It still isn't all the power that those Rs would want but it's a temporary fix until you have the opportunity to do otherwise?
