2-ohm from a 4-ohm head unit

I have a JVC KD-AR360 radio and its rated at 18 watts rms at 4-ohm so how much damage would be caused if I hooked up a 2-ohm load to it, because Theres some so called replacement speakers that i want that are 2-ohm who sells 2 ohm speakers thats not a replacement thats a upgrade.

Hey I was looking the little speakers a dual coil so i can wire it up for 8-ohm but then that means that it will only be getting 10 watts and its a 55 watt speaker so then it won't be loud

Get a small amp to push them. Most amps make double the rated power at 2ohm stereo.

ive pushed stock 2 ohm speakers with a h/u before.... sounds nasty, makes the hu shut off
