2 ohm components

I am thinking about buying a set of 2 ohm component speakers but have never had a set in the past, only 4 ohm versions. Does a 2 ohm component set put a 2 ohm load on your amp? Do you wire it just like a 4 ohm version?

I don't think my component amp is even 2 ohm stable and makes way more than enough power at a 4 ohm load. I've wired subs to I've different loads on amps but never components. What will be the difference in 4 ohm and 2 ohm comps when I go to wire and install these?
