hey goldtaz, i went to CKR the other day and was buying some stuff for the PA, and he asked what kind of sub i had he said aint no way 1 sub can handle that amp, and i told him i have a Resonant engineering XXX 15 and all three of their jaws dropped, they thought i was lying, they started saying theyve heard alot about them but never seen one and was asking how i got one as in like only the president can get those, i hope they dont start trying to carry RE stuff, i wasnt in my Blazer, if i would have been i thing they would of "poopied" on them selves, but they said i need to come down there so they can look at it,

Im surprised you found a local shop that's even heard of RE. Ive yet to find one that has. Usually when they ask what I have and I tell them, they get a dumb look on their face, then a grin like they know something I dont, then they try to sell me some MTX or RF sub.

Trusting CKR to know about new products is like trusting an incontinent old man not to shit himself!! Most of them get bewildered when I go in there as well because I can talk way over their heads very easily. The only guy that knew a **** thing left them and went back to Auburn to pursue other opportunities. I can almost guarantee you that RE would not grant dealership rights to a bunch of retards that I wouldn't trust with a Potato Gun. Need I continue???

I really appreciate all of the feedback from everyone, but please remember to give some sort of LOGICAL explanation as to why you made your choice. I do realize that this is kind of an unfair comparison, but I also need to understand why an MT 18 has the ability to out displace two MOFO 15's?? I mean (2) 15's definitely have the cone advantage working in their favor. Is there some sort of indisputable evidence to support claims of pawnage?? The box I had in mind for the 18 would be something like 12 cu ft. net with 180 sq in of port tuned to 47 Hz? Let me know what you think. The reason I said 47 Hz is because I have found that frequency to be the resonant frequency of my vehicle.

but when i told them i still couldnt believe they've heard of them, they think only the gods can get them, i wouldnt care to let them know the number so they could get them and start selling them or one of the employees get them, they would probably have a big sign on the outside "come check out favorite employee, He has some RE 10s oooh ahhhh, thats what your seeing folks 2 RE re 10s and one of our best 150x2 kenwood amps, you can get this here setup for a mere 500$, thats a steal" they have every size of every kicker sub except the solo x the last time i went in there, but they do have some nice Boston stuff like the G5s and Z6 components,

and another thing, goldtaz if you ever go in there one guy also new about the other internet brands like adire, incriminator and stereo integrity, but it was an asian type guy or so, kinda dark skinned, quiz him and see how much he knows.

but they dont know much at all about alot of stuff, they try to get everyone to buy one of those boxes they have lined around the store and all, and have you been to that new store by fun zone over there>?

mofo's were one of the worst performing woofers I've ever had the pleasure of testing.. and that's about as honest as I can get...

only 2 things going for it..... cheap as dirt, and quite hard to kill... it'll take alot of power... it just doesn't do anything with it....

My local shop has, only because a guy with 2 15" mt took the spl comp last year with ease. SO What is the deal with the Larger box. I also was told a smaller box would yeild a Higher score, however I am not even sure why, or if its correct. To the starter... I voted an MT Just because I think it would be cool if I had the room. That thing will be nuts. I have never heard an MT so I can't comment, I can say that a guy with 2 15" and either 4 modded 1501d's to the pair or to each sub(I can't remember) hit 155+. I have heard 2 12" mofo and I think they were decent for the price. Definately not the worst subs I've heard but definately not one of the best either.
