2 IDMAXs vs. 3 Type Rs

Hey guys I was wondering what you thought, I currently have a single IDMAX running sealed with a viper 1200d. It is decent but I want some more boom, I was wondering what I should do, I could possibly get another IDMAX and port em and run 600 to each sub or I can sell the one idmax I have and get 3 12" Type Rs Sealed with 400wrms each...what you think? I love the amp so I am not going to be upgrading to any more power, I had 2 Type R 12s ported in my last car and it was insane...I was giving each about 600 which is a little more than RMS but I dont think 600 to a Max would be really underpowering it.

just from what ive heard, do type R's like sealed boxes?

and if you want some more boom, try porting the max you have and see if that sa-si-fies you

Well someone posted in my thread that the IDMAX isnt an SPL sub at all...I had two type r 12s ported with 500wrms each and they were PLENTY loud enough, so do you guys really think that 2 type rs would beat out 2 Idmaxs?? I find that VERY hard to believe...

in JUST the situation you are saying...ID max's...type Rs would need more power...even if you ran 2 type R's youd need more. You could do 1 12" type r ported....but I dont even know how 2 12" IDmax's would sound on 600 each?

Well 2 type Rs portd with 500 each was **** loud, I know the Ids dont need much to get going cuz I have one sealed with 800wrms it gets full excursion no prob it just isnt loud enough, I recently picked up another used idmax for cheap thats why I wanted to go ported with 600watts each... but I would think theyd be louder than Rs
