2 different ohms on one amp

i have a 4 ohm sub and i just ordered a 2 ohm sub and was wondering if it was alright to run one at 2 ohms and one at 4 ohms . i have a 2 chanel amp too

the amp wont mind too much if it's stable to 2ohm stereo.

are the drivers in a common chamber?

I wouldn't do it, the sub's will receive 2 different amounts of power. It will "work" fine, but results will not be pleasing.

I was going to save that warning for his response to the common chamber question. That way I could roll it in nicely with cancellation from due to stereo channels...
