2 different amps, 1 sub

this may be an incredibly dumb question, so excuse my ignorance.

I have 2 completely different amps, one is weaker than the other. Would it harm my sub/amp or have any adverse side affects if i ran them both to the same sub?

Heck, even setting up two of the exact same amplifiers on a DVC subwoofer can be a royal pain without the proper equipment. I know someone who did it a few years back with four power 1000s on a pair of 18'' Kicker DVC subs.

The lower powered amp will probaly be putting a clipped signal to one coil.

okay, i didnt think it was a great idea but i just wanted a better opinion. definatly not doing it.
