Would this be possible? My mtx amp is shit the bed, so now i have no bass //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif.

To make a long story short can i use this Amp with this sub along with my components (100rms each). I was thinking i could hook them all up together, the amp can push out 400rms, so that would mean 100rms per speaker then then 200rms for the sub. I know that would be under powering the sub, but it's my old sub and i need a little bit of bass with my music, my tweeters are destroying my ears lol. Now if this is possible how exactly would i wire it to the amp?

If you use an external crossover to keep the speakers and subs from crossing slopes, then the amp will only see a 4 Ohm load above HPF freq. Per channel, the amp will see 2 ohms on the sub, so if the slopes cross it would hit 1.33 ohms/channel, which I doubt the amps is going to like too well. Hopefully, if this happens, it would be for a very short period of time, and not detrimental to the amp.

my speakers have their own crossovers, if that means anything. What adjustments should i make to the settings on the amp?

2 Channel amplifier? Not going to work - you'd be running a mono signal to the components.

Hifonics 4 channel? You'd wire each comp to the front two channels, bridge the rear one. It's pretty simple.

nope, this will work fine if the amp is capable of tri-mode operation and the components will not see a mono signal but the sub will.

op use the crossovers that came with your components for the highs and get a passive sub xover for your sub.

edit: oh and dont use the internal xovers on the amp.

Do i need to get a passive sub xover? I don't have money right now, if i had money i'd buy a new amp. If i don't use one will it damage any of my equipment?

your sub definately wont like it. they arent much money though.
How much money? The sub i'm using is my old kenwood, i honestly don't really care if it breaks, but id rather it not. Just want to use it till i can get a new amp for my RE.
