i want to know if i can bridge a 2 channel amp to push 3 subs wired to show a 2.66 ohm load . i know i really need to get a mono amp but i kinda on a budget, can you help me with some info on 2 channel amps ond what is the difference in 2 ohm stereo and mono

you can wire as many subs to an amp as you like as long as the ohm load does not fall below the recomended ohm load for the amp. the difference between "2ohm stereo and 2ohm mono" is exactly as it says...

stereo = two 2ohm loads, one for each channel.

mono= one 2ohm load (for both channels bridged in your case)

The difference between 2ohm stereo and 2ohm mono is....

4ohm mono = 2ohm stereo

2ohm mono = 1ohm stereo

I have a profile clarus cl600 amp rated at 450watts bridged at 4 ohm. would i damage the amp or the sub if i wired it to a 4 ohm dvc 10inch kicker solobaric to recieve the subs 8 ohm load. is there a better way to wire this sub to maximize power from amp or do i need a different amp-sub combinatioin. i want to get a 2 ohm dvc solo but i got this 4 ohm from a friend cheap.

It depends on what ohm subs you have and how they are wired to the amp. For example, two 4 ohm subs wired in stereo are just that, two 4 ohm loads. But if you wire those two subs in parallel to one channel, you will get a single 2 ohm load, or in series a single 8 ohm load. Wiring subs in parallel equates to doubling the amount of "wire" (cross-section area)in the circuit, thus reducing the resistance to half. Wiring subs in series doubles the length of the "wire" in the circuit, doubling the resistance. Hope this helps.

jeff i have 4- 500w12"subs 4ohm,and a 2 chanel 150.x2 ,600.x1rms crossfire i whant to know if i can put the 4subs with the amp bridged i only whant to know if its ok to put them like that

If you wire all four in parallel to your mono amp (600x1) you will have a 1 ohm load. Check the specs on your amp to see how many ohms it is stable down to. If it is stable to one ohm, and considering that amp does 600 watts rms at 1 ohm (it may do more) then you would be underpowering those subs (150 rms each) if they are rated up to 500 watts rms. They would probably sound ok, but by no means reaching their full potential. You might be better off only powering two subs, or buying a second 600x1.
