2 channel or 4 channel?

I'm looking at getting the Sundown 50.4 or SQ Q4-90. Anyway a question came up in my mind about where my power is best placed. With my CDT 6.5's up front I could run the 50.4 in 2 channel at 150rms and cut out my back speakers. Because I have an extended cab truck the back seat isn't used much anyway or I could even switch it to 4 channel 50rms for easy listening. I feel like counting on my 4x6" (really 4" comp rears) to contribute as much as my fronts is a losing battle. What do you guys think?

It's been years since I've run amp'd rears.

My rear fill is generally stock running on HU power.

Even with 500w rms on my front components the rears tend to "fill" adequately.

And ample power up front is rarely a bad thing.

Or do like I'm doing and run a old school mini 2 channel for the back speakers. Fade it out completely or however much you want. Then when you have passengers in the rear just change the fade to a more neutral position.
