2 channel or 4 channel

I have been asking what amp to get for my speakers and have been told to go with both a 2 channel on only the fronts or a 4 channel on all. what do you guys suggest and why?

agreed i have a nice 2 channel, mint condition 80+ shipping...your link didnt work but it does 150x2 @ 4...not a scratch on it

I would not amp the rear speakers. I'd either buy a really powerful 2 ch so that it can do 150+ at 4 ohms, or I would buy a cheaper 4 channel that you can bridge to do 150+ at 4 ohms for 2 channels and would just do that. Plus then if you want to run active later you have 4 ch.
