2 channel amp set up

I have two component speakers and a 2 channel amp. My speakers are 4ohm and i want to run them at 2ohm how would i connect them to the amp.

You cant, unless you run the pair on 1 channel parellel

You cannot run 2ohms on 4ohm speakers, unless you have a dvc 4ohm or 2 sets of SVC 4ohms parellel.

so in order to run it at 2 ohms i would need to add 2 more speakers making it 4 speakers all together?

Run 2 pairs parellel to get the 2ohm load, If the amp is 2 ohm stable in stereo you can run 2 pairs per channel.

Why are you so determined to run the amp at 2 Ohms? What components are you talking about and what amp are we discussing?

Running on a 4 Ohm load as opposed to a 2 Ohm load allows the amp to run cooler while not working nearly so hard. This, in turn, will generally increase amplifier longevity which is always a good thing.
