All right here's my setup-
Headunit: JVC KD-S52
pre-outs: 1 rear, 1 front (being used by sub amp)
Speakers: (4) 6.5" Pioneer TS-G1641R
Amp: Alpine MRP-M500 (500w rms @ 2ohms)
Subs: (2) 10" Rockford Fosgate P1S410 150w rms, 300w max
So here's the problem - when I have the volume turned up to the high 20s and up, the speakers seem to be clipping on the real intense notes and such. I'm assuming my first step here to fix the problem would be to buy an imp for those speakers. (Of course the easy way to fix this problem would be just to turn the volume down - but I ain't doin that!) So how many channels do i need? 2? or 4? How many watts could pump these suckas pretty good?
Any input is appreciated!
Thanks,
-Chris Z
