2 Batteries??

Hey I'm pretty new to this.. I'm strongly thinking about getting a kicker zx1000.1 amp to power a 15'' cvx. I dont know if I will need another battery or not or if I need to do the big 3. If I do get another battery (a yellow top or something) how would I connect that plus the stock car battery to my stock alternator?

Any help suggestions are greatly appreciated!!

I'm a little confused on how I would connect these to my alternator. Would I be able to connect a yellow top and my stock battery to my stock alternator?

Depending on what kind/year of car and your factory alternator rating you should be able to just replace your battery up front and be good to go with that.

To hook up your 2nd battery you just hook up positive to postive between the two batteries(with appropriate fusing between the two) and negative to negative on both batteries.

i can pretty much say you wont need to upgrade anything with that amp. unless you got a like a 50A alt or some shit

True, but depending on how old the factory battery is it usually isnt a bad idea to at least replace that.
