No, just might be a little slow to charge but you'll be fine.

Nope. A fully charged battery require about an amp to remain fully charged. Two slightly discharged batteries are no more of a strain than one battery dischared twice as much.

No, it's not bad to hook up two Select 850's to your stock Cavalier alternator. Just like the others have mentioned, if they get drained a little, then they will just take some extra time to charge.

You'll be fine. I have a Duralast redtop up front and an Kinetik HC800 in the back running off an 100 amp alt without the big three and I have no dimming.

i used some hurricane strapping wrapped with electrical tape (in case it slides it won't ground out) and sheetmetal screws

ok another question. is 4 gauge big enough for a 2000x and 2 batteries? about 300 amps.

i am not keeping the amp. I'm just testing a 2000x but will go back to my 100hc so i guess this will be fine for a few burps???

you have 4ga connecting the batteries? 1/0 would be best for that

i already have a run of 4 gauge that goes from front battery to my distrobution block in the back and my distro. has another opening for 4 gauge and i was just going to add the battery to the distro. block with 4 gauge.
