2 amps running at different loads?

What are the possible ramnifications of this? Say i had 2 40.1's and 1 pair of XXX's that were dual 4 ohm coils and another pair of XXX's that are dual 2 ohm coils and i decided to run 1 pair of XXX's on one 40.1 at 1 ohm and the other pair of XXX's at 0.5 ohms on another 40.1. And lets say that each pair were physically sperated from the other pair.

Are there any possible detrimental effects by having them run at different ohm loads, even if i set the gains for approxmately the same power output from each amp?

can you explain how...sorry for the questions, its more theorectical then anything, i'll probably install 2 in one car 2 XXX's in the other but this crossed my mind

if all the subs are not moving the same,the lesser moving will cause cancellation or vise versa,and at different ohm loads they couldnt be moving the same.

it wont work,trust me ive tried,with different impeadences the gains may set at the same on the dmm,but wen you turn it up they will differ alot

yeah theoretically it sounds to me like it would cause cancellation

thats why in competiting,getting the gains set on multiple amps going to subs is so important,if its off by very much at all,cancellation starts

i thought if i did that, one sub would see double the power of the other one?
