2 Amps plus a bazooka?

Hi All,

newbie here and my question is for a boat setup, so please excuse if i'm in the wrong place, but i figure theres sure to be some gurus who can help.

I go through a head unit a year, and thats even with the marine grade units, so i'm done with them. I want to do the following. MP3/Ipod straight to AMP to 4 speakers and a SUB.

I have 2 questions.

1. How do i wire a 4 ch amp to 4 speakers and a sub?, (a diagram or pics with muppet proof description if possible please ?)

OR

2. I can get a marine bazooka sub that comes with its own amp. and then an amp for the 4 speakers, but how do i get signal/ connect the ipod to both amps?

which would be the better option also considering this all has to run off one battery?

thanks for the response, but could you be a bit more specific? i checked on splitters and theres signal splitters or did you mean a y splitter and 2 sets of rca jacks? thanks
