2 Amps....HELP!!

I have a 95 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the stock infinity amp and ive installed my new head unit and hooked up the blue/white wire from the harness to the back of the cd player so the stock amp would come on......but when i hook up my other amp for my subs to the back of the cd player then the sound goes away as if its cutting the stock amp off but the HU is still playin and functioning......how can i get it to where both my amps power on? any help greatly appreciated, Thanks!!

I was trying to decipher what it was you were sayin, but alas I failed.

You ran the REM wire to the factory amplifier correct? When you run a REM wire for the sub amp, where do you hook it up at?

Okay, the deal is that the wire you have running to the aftermarket amp is causing the head unit's remote output to shut down. If the sound comes back after you disconnect the new wire from the head unit, then it means your deck has a safety shut-off on the remote output and it's drawing too much current with that wire hooked up.

Disconnect the remote wire from the subwoofer amp, then hook up the other end behind the head unit again. If the sound shuts off, then you have the remote wire pinched or shorted somewhere. If the sound stays on, hook the wire up to the sub amp; if this kills the sound, then there's a short inside the amp.

When i have both wires to the remote wire on the amp the cd players still on but no sound....when i disconnect the remote from the other amp the stock one comes back on and then i have sound but as soon as i put the wire back it cuts off again......so are u sayin that the other amp has a short?

Are you connecting/disconnecting the wire behind the deck, or at the sub amp?
