2 amps, 1 sub

I am thinking of moving to the Pioneer SPL5000 series and buying another Merlin amp.

I could put one amp per voice coil, I know this is sometimes done at comps, but what about daily?

If this is no good, what are some 12" sub that have 1800w RMS ( can only think of the new stroker) I figure it wouldn't move a solo-x very much.

yes you can put 2 amps on one sub.

All I have is a clamp meter. Anything else that would ensure all electrical is ok?
