right now i have a sony xplod Head Unit (HU) with xplod 6" x 9"s in the back running from The from the back of it and an xplod 1000w amp, and then I have 2 12 inch Cerwin Vegas running off the xplod amp. everything sounds pretty good but i think the subs should be hitting significantly harder. My overall goal is to have this thing functioning at the highest standard it can. here's what i have to work with:
in addition I have an MTX External Crossover RTX01A here's the specs:
One high and one low pass crossover point, continuously variable from 32Hz-400Hz
Two continuously adjustable output gain controls
High and low level inputs
12dB/octave slope
Signal to noise ratio >96dB and >.05% THD
Four gang potentiometers
DC to DC Power Supply
an audiovox rampage 150w amp sitting alll by its lonesome drilled into the back of the other back seat, here are the specs:
high performance 150 Watt, 2 Channel MOSFET Power Amplifier features a light-up LED power bar, high and low-level input capabilities, remote on/off switching, gold plated RCA line inputs and speaker terminals, plug-in automotive type fuses, and thermal & overload protected output stage. Compatible with common and floating ground stereos. Compact chassis can be mounted under dash, under seat, or in trunk. Maximum output power: 150 Watts (2 x 75 Watts). Compatible with 4-8 Ohm speakers.
and a Pac Lc-2 in-dash bass level control knob with y connector (it has 2 sets of female rca running off the back under the HU deck)
Product Description:
Converts the speaker levels of a factory or aftermarket radio to RCA (pre-amp level)
In-dash or under-dash mount control knob
Adjusts head unit output from 2-40 watts per channel
Cuts out low frequency noise below 20Hz
additional questions:
bridging the amps? bridging the subs? wiring the xplod 6x9's? will the cross over mess things up if i have one in the HU or the Amp or both?
