2 amp system help

I am going to be installing a jl audio 1000/1 amp and also a jl audio e6450 six-channel amp. I am new to installing multiple amps.

If i run the rcas from the head unit to the 1000/1, can i use the output on that amp to run another set to the e6450? Or will i have to run another rca from the head unit for that one? The 1000/1 will be powering a 13W7 and the e6450 will be powering my highs. Thanks

if your head unit has 3 pre outs, the sub pre-out will run to the 1000/1 while the other 2 pre-outs (front/back) will run to the e6450. you will need to run a 2 channel rca, as well as a 4 channel rca.

Guys, I do not know if it escaped your attention but he needs a total of 8 channels worth of input for the amps.

Excepting if he is planning on partially or completely bridging the output(s) on that 6 channel unit...

It would be greatly helpful to know what kind of HU is being used for this, though.

what if he didnt use them at all //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif otherwise he could get 2 y-adapters on one set of the rca's to run 6 channels to that amp.

i was wondering the same cause i have a pair going to by directed and then the other 2 pairs going to the 4 channel but i have my other 2 channel amps also. The 4 channel has an rca out with a variable crossover filter can u use this to go to the 2 channel
