2 Amp hookup? HELP

hey, lets say i stick with the main purpose of my thread, how would i hook up two amps? could i just splice the powerwire, or attach one of the "Y" connectors to the powerwire for both amps? would my battery be able to handle a total of 6000 watts? thanks.

they're called distro blocks man. check it out!!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fro.gif.c695f1f814b01c4ad99fe7f8cccadd29.gif

with those amps, you're not getting 6kw //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

take it from a guy w/ experience mprintz, i had cheap shit and it was ok, but for what you spend on that supposed 4000 watt Legacy amp you could get a hifonics bxi1206d or maybe a 1606d that will provide more actual rms watts than the extremely overrated legacy amp will, also cheap subs are built.....well.......cheaply! i had pyramid crystal series 1600 watt amps (maybe 300-500rms at most) and pyramid imperial 1200 watt svc 4ohm subs. i tore the 1 sub in half on low gains, another vc burnt up, and still got the last one, maybe i'll hook that up today and max it till it blows!!! anyways, if your on a budget you shouldn't be trying to do 1 15" and 3 12", on 2 amps. I had what we can call a "budget system" 3 alpine type s 12"s and 3 visonik 1000 watt mono amps. this was all squeezed into a 93 t-bird trunk. sounded awsome inside and out. spent on just subs and amps about $650..........but i should have bought 1 hifonics 1606d amp. would have done the job and dropped 150-200 bucks off my budget. go check out ebay for your budget system and try doing a smaller set-up (compared to 3 12's and 1 15"). right now i've got 1 type r 12 in my lincoln towncar and its comparable (not better, comparable) to my 3 type s 12"s. you can get type rs on ebay for around 100-150 each shipped.

also, type x here if desired //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

lol, it's worth more to blow it up than to take time to package and ship.

i'm actually trying to sell it to a noob for 30-40 bucks or another noob trade for his other type r but they both kinda talk out there necks so who knows whats gonna happen. but back on subject.............the type x would be a great deal esp. if the asking price is still the same. what are they ebay prices? around 350-400 each?

i found 3 audiobahn alum12s for like $70 each from a retail seller. try telling me thats not a deal! let me know where i could find a cheap distribution block? i found a box for 50 to hold the 3 12s, i need an amp to power them. help

i would say just a little, but thats because im cheap. the audiobahns on the other hand, are anything but cheap. ive been hunting around and cant find the dist box that i was looking for. they dont make 0 to 0 gauge distro boxs do they. i found 0 to 4 and stuff, but i want my amps to get full power. i also found fused boxes. probably a good idea, huh?

sweet, since you guys are so helpful, i have more questions. i still have a stock radio, so i had to buy one of the little converter things that attaches to the speaker wire and gives you an RCA out cable, could i just buy a splitter for that to run my two different cables to both of my amps?

ohhh, i always wondered why there was an rca out. tight. now im online looking for a box to fit my subs, they need 2.66 cu. ft. each according to the audiobahn home page. i cant find a sealed box for 3 12s, or a ported one.
