type X is not a "loud" sub by any means. Drop the R into any install the X is in and the R will be louder, simply put.lI was running two 12 R`s sealed and i thought it sounded pretty nice. And why stay away from the X`s?i`ve got a 12 sealed and i just love it,gets nice n loud and sounds very good while doing it.
yea they do... not that they don't perform "well" sealed - but they get louder and sound better ported.I have been leaning towards the R's the whole time but someone told me they sucked sealed is this true?
ported > sealed2 x15s sealed if you can do 2 10s why not 15s>4 10s
type R no question... it gets loud while sounding good //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gifI want more SPL about 70/30 mix. **** this is some confusing shit.
I've used both in many boxes. Its funny how some of these people say dont get Type X and dont say why. Have you all even heard them? From my experience the Type X got louder with full RMS than they Type R with its full RMS. Also, four subs is going to be pretty hard to install and you will have more space issues.
If you are going for more spl then im not sure Alpine should be your choice of brand here.
SQ= Sound Quality SPL= Sound Pressure Level ? **** it looks like im not getting subs anytime soon just dropped a pretty penny on some Boston Z6's //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gifWhat do sq and spl mean? I'm new to this.
