2 aero ports

I am building 2 separate boxes with aero ports. each will sit across from each other along the sides of a small hatch (3k gt). if i put the ports on the side of the boxes facing each other and firing into the center will i encounter problems such as cancellation or anything else? there will be about 16 inches in between the 2 and the subs will be facing up.

lol no problem, I wanted to hear all opinions both positive and negative before i spend the time and mdf building them.

What kind of car??
mitsubishi 3000gt and its 2 type r 12s. boxes will be smaller than i'd like, 1.4 cft each before port and i'm not in a position to buy different subs at this point. aero's are 3 inch as 4inchers would be too long for the box.

why not just build one box and load off the side?
I don't have the space to do that, the spare hump is in the middle of the hatch:-(

if you can, I'd face the subs together, iirc that actually serves to make the system louder, unfortunately, that isn't the case with ports.
that's a thought. anyone know if it definitely will work?

Side port that car.
which side do you mean? have the ports firing at each other or into the outter side plastic molding? If the latter, it will be pretty close to the sides, maybe ~3 -4 inches away. is this ok?
