First post, sorry for the length of the post. Looking at a low budget / decent sound addition to the Stock Mach 460 in my 01 Mustang Convertable. Looking for just a decent punch added to the stock system.

Now my question. Should I go with a set of 2 10" AA assasins in two sealed boxes or a single 12? The trunk in the convertables is TINY! I was trying to fit a single 12 and I am not even sure if it can be stood upright and not interfere with the trunk lid. The priorties for this system is to still have SOME useable trunk space and to look decemt. I can work woth MDF easily as I have built a 4 cube home sub from a Shiva with a plate amp from the original shiva white papers. Fiberglass doesnt scare me either.

Pics of any mustang trunk systems would be great also. Thanks for the help.

With the stock system still in there, Id probably go with the 10's or even 8's as mentioned before. If you take that mach bish out and sell it for some $$$, however, that leaves much more room for something bigger //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

The mach 460 in a vert doesn't take up too much room in the trunk like it does in the coupe. There is no sub tray in the verts . I saw this in an 05 so now I'm going to try to glass a single 12 into one of the corners of my vert.

i knwo it isnt either of what you asked but what about the AA 8"?
maybe a used rli-8 ?

either of those ported and tuned low you oculd get away with .5CF enclosures
Definately consider the AA 8...I have four //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif Install log next week...

Would it make a difference if I was to go and only do a single 10?, really have no experience with car audio in the last 18 years. I was leaning towards the single 12 due to ease of making only one enclosure and the wiring. Dual 10s came about due to the idea of using the two in parallel. Thanks for the replies

BTW, no way to edit a post? just to correct my spelling
