2/4/5 ??? Whats ther diff?

I just would like to know what are the different sounds in 2/4 and 5 way speakers is.Pros and cons of each,and what is needed and not needed,thanks for any input

Anything over 2-way in a single coaxially-mounted speaker is unneeded.

A 3-way component set consists of seperate midbass, midrange and tweeters - a 2way set merges the two larger drivers into a single one that handles both midbass and midrange duties.

There are also full range speakers that cover everything from your subbass stage to where you'd expect a tweeter to cover, but generally those come with some tradeoffs.

Jim hit this one right on, 2-way coax's are the most ways I would buy on one speaker

i dont think i've ever heard of a 5 way speaker in my life...i bet it sounds terrible
