SQ oriented but looking to get loud and low

need a 1 ohm final load.....

will seal them at first maybe port later on...

max dimensions are somewhere around 42x24x24

umm...a 2 ohm load is more efficient than a 1 ohm load

no meaning i dont have the money to buy an addition 1500D or a bigger amp that does more wattage at 2 ohms than my current amp...nor the money to add batteries alts etc.

but u wouldnt have to change ur electrical at all...

if u can do 1600@1 ohm u can do 1600@2 ohm. all you gotta do is change the amp.

i understand if u dont want to do that but just thought id point that out

Sundown at 2ohm would be fine enough....i clamped mine for 944watts@3ohm reactive

i'm curious as to why you chose 2 18"s for an sq set-up...seems like overkill to me. Personally, i'd go with maybe IdMAx's or W6's. Maybe RL-p 18"s if your heart is set on 18"s.

well to be honest....ive never heard what a SPL setup sounds like...never heard L7's or BTLs or anything like that...so i cant really compare how a SPL setup would sound vs a SQ setup...even though i feel like what i have in there now is not even close to SQ

MJ's sound very good...they have a very punchy sound and can blend well

with 1600 watts at 1 ohm...maybe consider a 15" XXX...it'll do what you are seeking
