2 18' kicker comp VR's?

A friend of mine is selling 2 kicker 18" Comp VR for $100 look kinda old(the smooth type OLD SCHOOL)but i was wondering if they are any good because he doesnt have a box for them so i cant test them out and are they worth the price?

OP: $100 isn't a lot for 2 18's, but it depends on a lot of variables.

Well i never knew they made them in 18's till he showed me but do 18's hit the same as 12's or do they sound different besides the pushing more air thing

shop i was at was selling them for 250 6 months ago! they get fricken loud.

yep kicker made compvr 18's. not that many had them tho. i think they stop maken'm in like 02. i could be wrong. how good of shape are they in???

they are in great shape You can just tell that they are older models because it kinda looks like non pressed paper cone or something like that

You can tell they are older models because they haven't made them in a long time... And you don't need a box to test them out and see if they work, find the VC config and hook them bishes up. One of the best budget drivers out there. They like BIG boxes though, make sure you got the room.

The CVR line is supposed to be built the same and on par with the L5. So I would say as loud, if not a **** hair louder.

Damn straight son. Just make sure there's nothing wrong with them and you have the room for a large enough box. I would grab a pair in a heart beat, especially for $100. I'm from Bradenton born and raised all my life BTW.
