2 15" sealed Vs 2 12" ported

im thinking about getting L7's and wondering what the disadvantages advantages of these 2 setups. 2 15's would prob be like 2 cubes each and the 2 12's would be about 1.80 cube each tuned low like 34. Which would be louder sound better power is not a problem they will get more then the recommended power. thanks in advance

some 15" sound better than some in different sealed enclosures...and some 12" get loud in some ported enclosures while some dont...

e.g. 2 12" solo x in a ported box will get far louder than 2 15" pyramids in a sealed box...etc

i can honestly say i dont know about the L7's...

the 2 12" would sound better if that was in a sealed box...but for which would sound louder i would say 2 15" but i can be very wrong...

why just dont go 2 15" ported...or i guess your space i limited...if that is the case then the 2 12" ported does get loud

my max dems only alow for about 4.3 cube feet total area. not enough room for 2 15's ported. So i wanna know if 2 12's can overcome the Displacement of 2 15's

if everything in the 15" setup is optimized and everything in the 12" setup is optimized, you will never overcome the displacement of a larger sub with a smaller sub. you can however optimize the conditions that you have to work with.

between the two you mention, do the 12's in 2.0 ported per enclosure. 2.0 is far too small for sealed 15's...but if you can use 2.0 for the 15's and 1.80 for the 12's, just put the 12's in the 15's airspace... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
