The only way you can do that is with a TCAB box:rotflol:Can 2 type r 12's do it? I'm only going to be able to get about 4.5 cubes in the well of my firebird,it a piss poor hatch back but look cool comming down the road.
I have read a good portion of the "offical type r thread" and I still and unsure of it's qualty and sound capabiltys? what is the best size box ported, can round ports be used with this sub, what is it's sound capabilty in db number's(real number's not a guss) Is there a better sub for the price?
Eclipse deck(55430) Kicker componet 6.2(2 set's)directed 4200 componets(4 channel) directed 1500d(d-class 1 ohm stable mono amp)95 firebird, WILL find a cheaper sub to hit 150 db's or higher.
What will do 150 db's or better,I have all the wood working tool's you could dream of(father does custom wood working) I have 1100 rms at 1 ohm. This is a daily driver.
you aren't going to hit 150's in a daily driver if you are looking for the best sq outta the R, which is what your first question was. I think if you haven't heard a car that is hitting those #'s you need to, then revalute your plansWhat will do 150 db's or better,I have all the wood working tool's you could dream of(father does custom wood working) I have 1100 rms at 1 ohm. If you mean how would you tune it to 33 hz, the tuning frequency of ported boxes is determined by how big the port area is. The lower the tuning frequency, the better it will sound, but lack output. The higher the tuning frequency, the less tonal accuracy, but a bigger gain in output. If your looking for sound quality i would go sealed, but it sounds like your more for loudness. Whats your budget and what type of music do you listen to.How would you put it at 33 hz. The box will not be rect. or square. It's a 95 fire bird with only a big odd shaped rear well.
