2 12's sealed , or 3 10's , or 4 8's?

No you are not too old, Its just called being respectable to your surroundings, most of the times, I can only crank mines on the freeway, rarely crank it anywhere unless i'm giving ppl a demo and I make sure i'm away from residential houses.
I've seen plenty disrespectful older people just blare their systems with songs full of cuss words in neighborhoods and parks where kids play.
Same. The only time I turned it up not at a show or interstate was when I was behind one of those mentioned people. And that was just for a few seconds.

Haha I meant flexing as in like stunting on people , basically showing off.
I'd sell mu SA-8v2 D2 for $125 plus shipping. I used it for less than a month, but need money for other stuff now.

Its cool to show off at a car stereo competition or a meet. Otherwise its seems pretty high school to go around blasting trying to "flex". Maybe im just getting old (25)
Never quit flexin

I really wish I had a different car I would have so many different possibilities like a Hdc315 which would fosho turn heads. Anyways no it is a 2.5 cu ft box : 20' depth , 29' wide , 13.375' height. Port is : 11.875', 2.50' wide ,26.60' length.
you are on the sound quality side with the box design, you have around 12 port area per cubic feet. More port area around 14-16 along with a 35-36hz tuning will give you a lot more boom and still play decently low.

Nice to see im not alone. Demo's are basically the only time I turn it up. Otherwise getting attention is dead. Im not looking to be labeled along with the low lives that blast there cobbled together no SQ Walmart systems all over town in there dented up rusted out buckets. The people that go around playing music with cuss words really chaps my ***, those are the people id like to go straight Dexter on.

Otherwise to the OP, your going to have to stick with a ported box and get that electrical system up to snuff. Get a nice 1500w amp and a zv3, that should get the all the honey's attention.

Okay thanks , and well I am in high school , I am a Junior and I do have consideration but when you're pulling out of the parking lot booming and people can feel the bass why not , just seeing peoples reaction is a reason for me to do it , I guess to each is own.

Where could I go about selling my stuff and starting a new build? I don't want to lose to much money tbh.

i'd say keep your stuff, change the box, sundowns need more square inches of port area per cubic feet to get any kind of real output. Since you are young, you probably dont fully realize enclosure acoustics and how much it will change your output. A new box only costs 40 bucks in materials but can net you a lot more output.

The problem is , I have someone make the design of the box for me , dimensions , frequency and everything and that costs liek 30$ , then I have a cabinet maker make the cuts and put it together. So the total is like 140$ , I can't make the cuts myself because my dad is being stubborn and saying it's not possible because we don't have the proper equipment and he is partially right , we don't.... How much more would a box that you say is appropriate for it increase output? I thought that 32 hz was ideal to hit the lows why would I want to go to 37 or 38?

All you need is a impact screw gun, drill, wood glue and screws If you buy the sheet of mdf at home depot, you get the guys there to make the cuts for you, its 50 cents a cut, first 3 cuts are free. Have someone you know with a jig saw/circle jig to cut the subwoofer hole, then its basically glue and screw then you are done.

The other thing you are lacking is square inches of port area, you are tuned in the SQ section instead of the sql/spl side.

Here are some free box plans that have cutout sheets for you to make the cut. Just figure out how you should cut a 48" x 96" sheet of wood to make the most out of the sheet of wood.

whole thing shouldnt cost you anymore then 50 bucks to do.

Wow that sounds pretty good , I don't have someone to do the subwoofer hole but I might be able to find someone. Which one on the website do you recommend for the best bang for my sub and amp? Btw thanks for the help!

Any 2 cubic feet at 34-35hz box is fine. Its true that you are pretty much maxed out with the lower frequencies but a lot can be improved in the 40-50hz area with a higher tuned box. Thats where a lot of the boom is.

^^ what jeff said is so true. tuning it higher will give you more boom but it will give you less and less lows as you go up. Ask yourself what you really want. If you are looking for more "boom", a low tuned box won't really do it unless you have a lot of cone area but even then it's not as efficient as a higher tuned box for the same cone area. Also depends on what music you listen to most. Some songs will sound better than others and that's just the compromise you have to make. 35hz is a good median for boom and still attain the lows.
