2 12 w6v2 or 2 magnum d2

I've got a friend who is looking to buy a system and so I got some questions. He wants somethign that can get insanely loud but sound good also. Which would be better for this, 2 12 w6v2 or 2 d2. I would prefer the two d2, but wanted some others opinions. also what amps would you guys recommend for this. i believe they are going to be sealed also. size is also a factor and the d2 has a really short mounting depth correct? thx

The mounting depth on a Magnum D2 is 6.75".

i doubt the JL's can keep up with the D2. amazing woofer, but i guess its also in taste. i'd take the D2's in a heartbeat tho

yeah, the magnums are EASILY much better all around. They will outperform the w6v2's....peace.

Both are good subs but I would go with the D2. The d2 is also cheaper which makes them much better.

Don't use the full 7 cubes for a pair of Magnums... 2 ft^3 tuned to 28-30Hz is one of the best setups ported for the woofer for daily driving.

Loyd could tell you more about Mags and how they really don't care for larger boxes if he happens by this thread.

You gotta give the 12W6V2's some credit, ive never heard better sound quality in my life. But the magnums are cheaper, louder, sound almost as good, and take much more power, id go for a pair of those

if your looking for a JL Audio sub that u want to compete with a D2 go with W7 if you went W7 the W7 would be -=*LOUDER*=- and still have SQ

hey... the start of this forum was for me.. my friend was trying to get me info. hehe. but umm.. im not getting this stuff to compete and just blow it as loud as it can go.. im 16. i have http://www.pbase.com/gcafes/mikeschevy. 1995 Chevy s10 kinda showed out... check it out... all i listen to is rap. so i like the bass. my hole family stuck with JL audio all the time so thats why im interested in it... look at my truck its not big hehe... and i want a badass system to listen to on a daily basis.. not to compete hehe. but i want it to be known as if i want to it can be crazy.. and i was planning on getting a complete JL setup. 1 12"w6v2s and 2 amps to run it. i mean before i came here i heard it would be awesome.. hit very hard and sound awesome.. and im getting all these D2 answers. which is frusterating cause its changing my mind by the hour.... nothing is said good about the JL audio. are they bad or what..

also, i mean does every1 hating on the JL audio for 1 reason. is that its too expensive...... put the money part to the side... how are the subs...
