2 12" Type R's and PA a3000db *pics**little review*

Well i just swapped out 2 15" SX's in a small box(to small for them) for a pair of Type R's in 3.5^3 @ 33hz wired to 4ohms on my PA a3000db. Im really happy with the switch over i must say, they wang pretty hard i was going to take a video but the car 2-3 cars down alarm was going off as soon as i poped the trunk so heres a few pics. i still have to run the power wires under the carpet and carpet the box(dunno if i will tho i like the MDF look)

Why are they wired at 4ohms???

wire them at 1ohm... you should get about 2000rms off that amp at 1ohm...

and with that kind of power they will really wang.

which is louder now..those 2 type rs or those 2 sxs..becuz ive been debating lately..

1.75 cubes is still sort of small for 2 12" Rs unless you are going for SQ. If you want SPL, they will get loud with 2.5-3.0 cubes a piece.

Also, like mentioned above, wire them at 1ohm. Type Rs don't really reach full potential until you give them 1k or more, and you've got that sittin right under your nose.

Really? They are officially rated RMS per coil via Alpine or are you just saying that because it's pretty much true? In that case, I wonder why Alpine doesn't list them as 1000 RMS or at least 750 RMS. I bet it would sell tons more to those who go by power handling only.

Cbass- trust me my ears can barely take them as it is.

master- the type r's are in this case becasue of lack of airspace for the SX's

Thunderbird- im pretty sure its not per coil
