2 12" kicker CompVR amp suggestions

ok well i got 2 12" kicker CompVR dual 4Ohm now i need a new amp because i burned up my old amp...well i was looking at this amp here

right now i have them wired so they are at 8Ohm and with both hooked to an amp it goes to 4Ohm right???

should i go with that amp or should i wire the subs so they are at 2Ohms and get an amp that is 500W X 2 @1ohm

or if you have anyother suggestions that would be great

I had a Memphis 1000D on 2 12" CVRs running at 1ohm. It was in a crappy sealed box and it still pounded. Put them in a nice ported box and you will be more than happy.

ok i was looking at the specs for the kx 500.2 and it says it is 500w X 1 @4Ohm what would it be if i hooked up 2 to make a 4Ohm load what would the wattage be???

it's 250x2, bridged will do just over 500 watts

each sub will share the 500 watts at 4 ohm bridge (wired in series/parallel)

so each sub will be getting 250 watts give or take.

what kind of box are they in? sealed , ported

just wanna point out that you can't get a two ohm load with two dual 4ohm subs. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif .....its either 4 ohms, 16 ohms, or 1 ohm.
