2 10w6v2's or 1 12w6v2??

So I just got back from hearing 2 10w6v2's that a person I know was selling. I put them in my car on my 500/1 and I LOVED the way they sounded compared to my 12" Alpine Type-R. Too bad he was asking for 500$ for them.

Anyways I was curious, has anybody compared 2 10w6v2's? to 1 12w6v2 on a 500/1? What would you recommend I do?

I'm into more SQ then SPL but at the same time I don't want to lose any SPL then what my Type-R can put out sealed...

Any input on this? Thanks.

2 cube box at 35hz will do the 12w6v2 perfect almost sounded as good as a single 12w7 in my cirrus trunk only difference was the tone but i frefered the w6 over the w7 for sound

Hmm... I loved the double bass on the 10's... do you guys think the 12 will sound similar to that?

200-250 seems to be going price on used w6's.

thats apiece so talk him into 400 or close.

Actually he wanted 500 for the two subs, box, a 2 channel Kenwood amp, and all the wires... I just wish I had the money..

talk him to $450, buy the whole lot, sell the amp and the wires for whatever, and you have a sweet deal.

Yeah he doesn't want to separate anything since he's getting out of car audio... man those subs sounded so good. I'll see if i can talk him down....
