2 10's on a budget???

I'd go for those JBL's that Jose mentioned. Those are some sick 10" subs for 230 shipped.

Either that or check out Pioneer's line of Premier SPL subs. I would think they perform very similarly.

would you choose these over the ID's?? they are close in price.

instead of matching the amp to the subs why don't you match the subs to the amp? Get the amp first then match the subs to it... alot cheaper that way and easier
An amplifier is basically just a gain block to boost your signal. The amplifier plays such a small role in the final output sound as compared to the actual speakers that imo it only makes sense to chose the speakers (subs) that fit your system, then chose the amplifier that fits your speakers. Not the other way around.

yah thats what i was thinking... why limit my sub choices (that are already limited) even more... and im really leaning towards the ID10's... will i be dissapointed?

where are 2000spl's less than $100? I remembered you mentioned that before. I might need one for the lady's car.

go ahead and get them. I was also just about to buy those subs but I decided to get the JBL ones cuz they are so big, beefy, heavy and just plain manly //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

But give them a try. If you dont like them, you could send them back. I would suggest building the box for them first tho.

thanks for the help... yah i already have the box in my car actually, and its dim is perfect for the ID's.... now for an amp... any suggestions guys??? i plan on running some MBquart 5 1/4 components up front so 1 amp for subs and a amp for my components and the rears will be pulled out to get the bass into the cabin... id like to have 2 of the same brand amps just to keep it clean... thanks guys.

this is a pic from the site i got the enclosure from...
