yo, im runnin 2 10" d6's in a TCAB tuned to around 35-38 hz...my amp is an alpine mrd-m1005 which can put out 1000+ rms and a rockford forgate 1 farad cap.

and how can i accuratly power my subs.....because currently i am using a line out converter because its biach to switch out HU's.....my gain is 2 settings away from full gain...bassboost is 8 out of 16...tuned to 72hz....24 lp slope....and ssf is at 30 i belive.....i know bassboost is bad, but thats the only way it sounds decent because my bose head unit doesnt have sub woofer settings on it.....

so how can i find out if im overpowering/ underpowering my subs without taking them out and putting them on a voltmeter....is there an easier way? like by looking at it move or hoy they sound??

thanks

ok, this is weird. anyway, what kind of ride do you have. changing a deck in anything shouldnt be too much trouble unless you physically cant get a deck in it, like in the new acura TL's. a deck would help you tons, more input signal will change the way it sounds significantly. also, i would run at least a 4 gauge power cable, depending on how far you have to go. mainly focus on giving your bass amp as much signal and power as possible. you can set your amps up by searching for a gain setting tutitorial on this site. if your amp is setup correctly and you arent clipping and your subs arent distorting, you shouldnt worry about over/underpowering your speakers.
