2.1 Channel reciever

I am looking for a 2.1 channel reciever that can handle multiple inputs like from DVD, TV, and Wii.

I want a L/R tower, a center channel, and then a sub--output (for use with a plate amp)

Am I asking for the right thing?

Any suggestions?

Budget is around $300.

is their a such thing as 2.1? i thought it was only stereo (2.0) and 5.1,6.1,7.1?

if your gonna use a center channel then your gonna need a 5 channel receiver i would think?

Its quite easy to do a 2.1 with a 2-channel receiver; just run speaker-wire to the line level inputs on the sub, and then out to your speakers.

If you need a center channel, your going to need a 5.1 channel home-theatre receiver...
