Whats Jl stands for??
ok i have my 12w6v2 in a 2.0 cuft suppose to be tuned to 31 hz(according to box plan sticky) but when i run the dimensions through bassbox pro its more like 33 hz, anyways i recently talk to the guy that sold me the sub (the dealer here) and let him hear my set up and he said its really loud but my bass should sound alot cleaner, hes tellin me the box is too big that the w6 dont work well in anything above recommended box size and that its a compact box sub is this true? if so imma build me the recommended box.

i tried to use one of those plans from the sticky...... u really got to check the math on those it seems, i built a 4.5 cube box @30 it wound up being a 4.77 cube box tuned 29hz. that was as near as i could figure

i wound up adding scrap MDF to bring down the volume and trimming some off of the port to fix the tuning

Ok i have been doing some fiddling with bassbox pro and my box (2.0 cu ft tuned @ 33 ) and the recommended box (1.5 cu ft tuned 32 hz) have very similar responces in all graphs and in frequency responce the low end gain slightly higher than the smaller box (like 1 or 1.5 db) which i think isnt worth the extra space took up dont think it should give a audible difference
