It says on the product page of the sub that it comes with all of the wiring and instructions in the package. I would do what it shows there.

thanks for the reply i have followed the instructions but getting no sound out of the sub at all the light is green on the sub so it is getting power

Well that is a different issue all together. Can you tell us what you have done so far and include some pics so we can help further?

There might be two different blue wires on that head unit. Make sure it is labeled REM and not ANT.

it's connected to the plain blue wire in the head unit have i connected it to the wrong one?

sorry my mistake the wire is purple

You can verify if that is the issue by using a small jump wire from the POS+ wire going to the sub amp to the REM input on the amp. That will force the amp on. That is just a temp solution to verify that it works. Do not use that as a permanent solution.

hi again is the the right blue wire?
