***1999 Tracer Sealed Off Enclosure Build***

Oh I was just saying you did a good job!
And I was assuming you were going to make a beauty panel to cover that up?
oh yeah, the cover is going to be attached to the car, but i still have to cut it out. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

well, here is the box itself after being painted. Pretty cute!! The cover still has to go on to seal the cab though.

and don't laugh at the shitty saw horses. They still work fortunately

What size is that box again? Looks really small in that last pic, also I can only see a few select pictures, hows come?
Paint looks good, but I know you will eventually want to turn it back around or get more SQ subs in there.
LOL, it's upside down cuz i just painted it. It does look really small in that pic though.

It is 1.5 cubic feet in each chamber, so 3 Cubic feet total. I definitely have to get better subs soon, and possibly a new amp. I think i am going to get something high end next, something with more SQ like you said. It sounds pretty good though for being a sealed box IMO.

i just got finished completely sealing off the subs from the trunk and i am very happy with the outcome. The trunk doesn't rattle at all and i can hear more rattles from my components mid bass than i can with the subs. I would say i lost about %20 of the bass i used to have with the R's, but it is definitely worth the time and effort to do it. I recommend it to everyone who has more than 1000 rms or more for the awesome SQ.

for some reason we didn't do window bracing this time. I don't know why, it wasn't my idea really. So you think we went overboard with the bracing?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
my last box had window bracing in the middle though, and it took less time, my grandpa thought it was necessary though to do more this time.
bracing it the way it is ensures a better seal for leaks if you chose not to seal the corners with caulk/silicone, but it doesnt add to the strength enough to justify it..
