1999 Mustang, new deck, no audio

So I pulled out my stock deck (tape and radio and then the cd player below it) and unplugged all the wires from both of them. My audio system is the 4 speaker one not the mach version. So I went to Futureshop and got the harness it was $20. So I plugged everything in;solder all wires and the new deck powers on; but no audio out of speakers. So I bring over a speaker and hook one of the speaker wires from the head unit to it and the speaker works. So something to do the with the harness? I tried 2 of the same one. Any ideas from others?

Sounds to me that the stock amp isn't turning on. You need to find the wiring diagram for that stock system and make sure the amp is wired up correctly.

Hook the remote turn on wire out of your headunit to either the blue or blue/white in the harness that plugs into your car.....
