1999 Honda Prelude 2 amp sound system, sub amp causing speaker interference?

with the EQ in the 149 i adjusted this:

to this:

using just 3 of the 9 bands.

because any filter can be at any 1/3 oct center frequency, it's the most useful EQ i've had. And i've had full dual 31-band EQ's with independent adjustment of each of 8 outputs (Alpine PXA-H701). but external processors are noisy. and the noise is audible (even when spending a grand on a processor). simple is always better and that means minimizing the number of components in the signal path. i want to limit to only one or two DAC stages and simplify the gain stages.

you get 6 presets for each of the tuning stages (6 for time alignment, 6 for EQ, 6 for crossovers). you can quickly A-B between any presets. I can make an EQ adjustment in a few seconds and the menu remembers the last place you went and the menu options are listed vertically with 3-4 visible at a time which makes choosing one easy.

Alpine also has a DEFEAT option to purify the signal (good for troubleshooting).

being digital, the filters are precise. with a slider/dial you will never hit the same spot twice, and you cannot A-B various configurations, nor recall presets.

of course, you also have sub phase, sub vol type, etc.
