1997 Ford F150

im planning on putting my remote start/alarm in my 97 f150 probably monday or tuesday. on the12volt.com it says

door lock-High Driver's Dash Negative Trigger w/Keyless Entry

door unlock-Reverse Polarity w/o Keyless Entry

my alarm install guide has a few different options

-negative trigger door lock system

-positive trigger door lock system

-5 wire alternating door lock

-2step door unlock wire 5 wire alternating door

-2step door unlock wire positive switched door

so which setup should i use

and do i need to buy any extra equipment like i had to in my girlfriends grand am

FORD, F SERIES LIGHT DUTY, 1997, Power Lock

Negative pulse, type B, on keyless entry models. Five wire, type C, on non-keyless models, mastered from the driver switch.

The question here, do you have factory keyless entry?

If yes, use the negative trigger

If no, then you need two 12v 30amp spdt relays, and you will have to do a five wire
