I thought I'd update CA. on my current project.

I started by carpeting the wall and making templates for the woofers

Then the amp rack got wired up.

Bars for the rear:

Upgraded the wiring unde the hood:

Shaped the doors a bit:

Extended the port

Did some post port change testing on the response curve:

Upgraded the power plant:

The old setup was ~240A (110A in stock location and 130A in the front both OEM) but I decided to put a large GM case 300A peak alt in the front for a total of 400+rated amps of alt power.

Amps: DD M2bs x2 Clamped at 2700w @4ohm strapped (rise from 2ohm)

Numbers:

154.3 in the kick with the drivers window down

153.0 on the dash with the window down

151.5 sealed legal on the dash

I'll be honest, most of the time I bring in the sub stage just enough to compliment the front stage and not much more. Only at shows to I clip the hell out of them and go full tilt.

I unwound the coil of the drivers side woofer due to user error, I am starting to line up replacement parts now for a rebuild.

yeah it was a big gain. I'm mildly disappointed I won't have another shot to test haha.

These woofers may not be the end all high power all day drivers, but they sure can burp something fierce.
