okay i got a ? why is it gonna cost me 185 to just put in my alpine 6.5 in-dash cd player i got all the wires and everything they told me all i need is the adaptor i think he was talkin about the antanna adaptor w(which i dont even have a antanna for my radio cuz it broke off on the outside) but the other part i think is some kinda of harness? that u put in gm trucks for it to work which is 90$ and i thought it was only 2003 models and up could any1 tell me what i need for a 2002 escalade?

please help

sometimes its alot more then just installing the dash kit, plugging the harnesses in, and sliding the deck in. i've seen people pay upwards of 500.00 to install a radio depending on the vehicle, custom work might be required.

where is it that you were quoted this?

You've got to remember he's installing a 6.5 screen radio if I read it right, which brings in a whole different dimention to the install. Then you've got to make sure that the onstar system still works as well as tying into the bose system or bypassing it as well.....for a buck eight five I think that you are getting a deal...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif :D //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

acually dude and me is cool and he said 165$ lol

but yea so u do think this is a good deal.....he told me that i had to have that bypass thing and i think a harness as well so bad deal or not?

If someone came into the shop when I worked there, with their own in-dash screen, I'd charge anywhere from $100-150 for the screen installation, plus ~$100 for the GM interface, $20 for the dash kit, and around $50 to install the interface alone.
