18" Fi SP4 setup help

I think that could be done, with 2 SP4 15s I would have to spend ALOT more money with upgrades than I would the single 18, and honestly I want an 18. Simply because I have never had one before.

U cant fit 2 15s either u dont have the space 2 15s would take up more room than a 18..a pair of 12s in the right box would be louder than a 18 crammed into a small box

Go with mechman or singer and kinetic is pretty good..xs/ stinger is overpriced..u will need a new batt under the hood and a g31 in the back to support that amp..so ur looking at a grand just in electrical

Then u have a crappy box lol ur box should peak at tuning .is it a prefab or custom made box

At least a 240..320 if they have it for ur car ..i run a mechman 240

I like the octoport, I'm not looking for peak loudness, I'm set on 1 18 in the trunk. Gotta try it before I know if I don't like it.

Yea but if u cram it into a small box i promise u wont like it and be dissapointed lol ..its not just peak loudness..it hits down to 25 and moves a shitton of air ..itsa wind tunnel

They build the box like this, where it has a port in the center of the two subs with a wall between each side.

But isn't the space I have sufficient for an 18? 36/36/19 is over 15cuft. The SP4 only wants 6-8cuft.

U cant fit 36 36 19 tho ..plus ur forgeting port and sub displacemt ...my box is over 7 cubes before all that but is only 4.4 after

Yes and the more u plan for now the more happy u will be with it..im not sayin u cant fit a 18 im just trying to help u account for optimal enclosure size plus putting the amp wires and extra battery back there too

U got a good start and picking good equipment so ur not totally off track ..i ran the bc3500 on a pair of dd3512s before this .its a nice amp..i dont like the sp4 due to the fact ive seen many catch fire,, yes i saod catch fire in person ol
