going with a 200A alt will be plenty. but when you go to 16v then you are opening a whole other can of worms where you will end up using breakers and whatnot.

who knows.....u just keep asking, so they keep giving opinions....u would think 500 posts meant u were liking the info in the forum...but like they said why 16 volt why not beefy 12.

because my amp is made for 16v.

it doesnt put out at 14.4. if it did then i of course i would get a 12v system.

you guys arent stupid, i just didnt give enough info. i went a little overboard

im gonna get this battery http://www.turbostart.com/16v324page.htm but i need the 12v to 16v booster so my crap 104A alt can charge it.

it costs $160+ for the stupid thing. should i just get a 16v alt instead or the booster, yeah the alt will be more but will it be worth it ? state your opinion.
You will blow everylight bulb in your car in a matter of seconds....Its not very cheap or easy to run a 16V system in Daily Driver...This is your best bet http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=18796&item=5708881765&rd=1

NOTE: the 16v is for the amp. the 12v is for the rest. i will not be running my truck on 16v only my amp. i talked to a member that told me this amp is geared toward 16v and not 14. it is a MA Audio HK- 4000D

http://www.turbostart.com/16v324page.htm notice the 3 posts. please look at this before you state yor oppinion about the 16v system. just so you dont get confused:)

Im pretty sure your amp is the same as the Visonik...Rated at 14.4 and 17V's if Im not mistaken. You mentioned a 16V alternator, that what I was referring to..Just run a seperate battery bank completely isolated or buy the converter in the link or something similar..Pretty sure those are your options.
