16v high/mids amp suggestion?

Hey all,

I planned on running a soundstream rubicon,

but after a long discussion with soundstream I found out they arent rated for anything over 14volts.

My current setup charges at around 15.9-16 volts and rests around 14volts

I would need around 75watts per channel at 4 ohms

or around 300RMS 600max at 4 ohms

and a 5th channel would be nice for my mids

It would be nice not to spend anything over $300

any suggestions for a reliable 16volt high/mid amplifier would be greatly appreciated!

Many amps will run up to 16.0v -- but not on a "16v" electrical system that charges in the 18s.

Yes my setup is actually 14volts, it charges as high as 16.4 volts.

So anything as high as that would be great could you help me out?

MB Quart - Onyx 4.125

Soundigital are somewhat pricey but they will work for sure.

MB Quart can be had for about $160 on ebay. I personally have one and have tested this one. I have made it come on and play music on voltage up to 19.4V.

Those Quarts aren't bad, I had my 1500 wired down to .5 ohm daily for several months

soundstream isnt reliable at my voltage,

and I contacted maxxsonics nothing they make is reliable at this voltage,

I guess I will continue to look for something from ED thanks everyone!
