16 volts.....12 volts......???

I am running a couple (4) Z1As and im thinking of running a 16 volt setup, can these handle it?? I keep getting mixed answers about this no matter who i ask anybody from local competitors to DD themselves!!!

So my question is do i run my alt's at 16 volts with 16 volt batteries or do I run my alts at 14.5 on 12 volt batts?? i just want to squeeze as much as i can out of these and I will be running them @ .25ohms so i would prefer to run the higher voltage.
